CFS, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Always TiredAre you always tired? Like really tired. It doesn’t matter what you do… even if you go to bed earlier or get a new mattress, a new pillow or whatever you change you are still tired. There may be a variety of reasons for this but one of them is a medical condition called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)? There’s a lot of skepticism around those who are suffering with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome . Your friends and family think that it is all “in your head.” There is not a definitive way to diagnose CFS other than through exclusion. There is not a reliable diagnostic lab work or test other than a decrease in quality of life.

Signs of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Here are some tell tale sign you have CFS:

  • It’s chronic — six or more months duration
  • More rest or sleep does not help
  • Difficulty to concentrate or a bad memory
  • Sore throat or tender lymph nodes;
  • Overall muscle or joint pain
  • Headaches
  • Post-exercise makes it worse

Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care & CFS

A recent case study found large quality of life improvements in patients with CFS following upper cervical chiropractic care called the NUCCA procedure. The upper cervical spine houses the brainstem which is a very important part of the central nervous system. A misalignment in this area puts pressure on the brainstem and interferes with the nervous system. A gentle touch and controlled contact on the first vertebrae in the neck is designed to restore balance to the spine and the nervous system.
